We created this concept of Path Development because we feel that there are a lot of people that want to be part of a positive and sustainable future, but don’t quite know how to do that. In particular it seems like there is often a disconnect between the actions of people and some kind of feedback that shows them how they made a difference. We would like to help people to realize the potential for positive change that matches their personal desire and opportunity to make a difference. There are other people that can help! We may end up just acting as a conduit to connect you to individuals that calculate carbon footprints, for example. However we do have an interest in helping establishing initial PATH CHARTS for individuals and small organizations. We will work in part using some aspects of popular management/leadership approaches and in part on Action Research agendas. In particular we may draw significantly in a paper by David Ballard, titled Using learning processes to promote change for sustainable development, published in Action Research 3(2): 135-156. As we look ahead to launching our site, it is unclear how much this PATH CHART service will be of interest, and if so how much work of this type we can do, while attending to our other activities and approaches. However, each individual that expresses an interest will get personal communication in as timely a manner as possible to determine how best we might help out and mutual expectations.
PERSONAL PATH FOR SUSTAINABILITY
Your personal path development will begin with an in depth phone interview that will take up to one hour. This will allow us to determine your interests, possible areas of focus and the personal investments of time and/or resources that you could consider giving to a sustainability path that works, both for you and the planet. Each path developed will include a local and a global component. Following the interview, Daluhay will research the possibilities that fit with your situation and prepare a draft report. This report will be sent by email and then discussed through a telephone meeting. Upon acceptance of the path that has been developed, Daluhay will prepare a final written report and strategy.
CORPORATE PATH FOR SUSTAINABILITY
A corporate development path will begin with an interview to determine the focus of the agency and in house potential for investment in sustainability. It is expected that the interview will take up 1-2 hours. This will allow us to determine the organizational culture, possible areas of focus and the personal investments of time and/or resources that could go towards a sustainability path that works, both for the organization and the planet. Each path developed will include a local and a global component. The assessment would include an integration of the agency’s sense of corporate responsibility, resources and general business plan. Following the interview, Daluhay will research the possibilities that fit with your situation and prepare a draft report. This report will again be presented through a telephone meeting. Upon acceptance of the path that has been developed, Daluahy will prepare a final written report and strategy. On site visits to the organization can be arranged.
